Artist - Cat Lover - Witch

Hi, I’m Emily Carrier—an artist, cat enthusiast, and unapologetic geek with a deep love for witchy aesthetics. I’m a college admission adviser at a prestigious art school, a freelance portrait artist, and a graduate student currently pursuing my MFA in Painting at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where I previously earned my BFA in Illustration.

Though I began my creative journey as an illustrator, I’ve found my true artistic voice through painting. My current work explores themes of ancestral connection and feminine resilience, centered on my ancestor Martha Carrier, who was executed during the Salem Witch Trials. Through this lens, I examine the enduring power of women and the ways witchcraft symbolizes resistance against patriarchal structures.

I live and work in the Savannah, Georgia area with my four cats—my constant companions in both studio life and downtime. When we’re not immersed in the creative process, you’ll find us curled up with a fantasy novel or revisiting our favorite films and series.
